- Physical processes:- Here pollutants are well taken care of through physical separation such as sieving, flotation and filtration.
- Chemical processes:- Water that is contaminated with more complex or toxic substances require activating agents like chemicals for further processes such as flocculation, coagulation, oxidation, and neutralization of pH.
